The New Fairfield Rebels (New Fairfield, CT) baseball got by the visiting Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT), 8-7 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Rebels now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newtown for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 29.
With the defeat, Pomperaug drops to 0-1 on the year. The Panthers host Brookfield (Brookfield, CT) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 2. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 3-0.
