The Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) softball routed the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 9-3 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Braves now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Branch for a non-league outing on Tuesday, April 29. Indian River will encounter a Bruins team coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Manor (Portsmouth, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Lakeland moves to 2-5 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Poquoson (Poquoson, VA) to encounter the Islanders in a non-league outing on Monday, April 28. The Islanders come into the outing with a record of 3-0.
