In Thursday's league challenge, the host Evanston Wildkits lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-7 triumph over the Vernon Hills Cougars.
The Wildkits (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lyons (LaGrange, IL). The Lions go into the non-league challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Lyons was nipped by Marist (Chicago, IL), 7-6, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Mundelein Mustangs (Mundelein, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 25. Vernon Hills will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 22-4 league loss to Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL).
