In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Solon Comets lacrosse squad scored a tight 10-9 triumph over the Mentor Cardinals.

The Comets (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Wadsworth (Wadsworth, OH). The Grizzlies go into the Region 2 challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Wadsworth held off Green (Uniontown, OH), 10-4, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals clash with the Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) in a Region 2 challenge, on Friday, April 25. Mentor will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Beavers go into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 12-11 league win over GlenOak (Canton, OH).
