In Thursday's non-league match, the host Halifax County Comets softball team scored a tight 3-1 win over the Brookville Bees.
The Comets (11-3) will now prepare for their match against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Trojans come into the Piedmont match with a 11-3 record. In their last match, Tunstall nipped George Washington (Danville, VA), 7-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Bees battle the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) in a Seminole match, on Friday, April 25. Brookville will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the match with a 8-1 record after their 2-1 league loss to Amherst County (Amherst, VA).
