The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Francis Lewis Patriots (Fresh Meadows, NY) and the visiting Lane Knights (Brooklyn, NY), observed Francis Lewis's softball team get by Lane by a tally of 5-2.

The Patriots (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against John Adams (Ozone Park, NY). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 2-5 record. In their last bout, John Adams was routed by Bayside (Bayside, NY), 15-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Flushing Red Devils (Flushing, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 25. Lane will attempt to advance on its 3-3 season record.
