The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA) and the host Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH), witnessed Paul VI's softball team overcome Independence by a margin of 11-1.

The Panthers now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop O'Connell for a Washington Catholic outing on Tuesday, April 29. Paul VI will encounter a Knights team coming off a 14-0 league win over The Academy of the Holy Cross (Kensington, MD). The Knights record now stands at 11-0.

With the loss, Independence moves to 9-3 on the season. The Blue devils travel to South Range (Canfield, OH) to encounter the Raiders in a non-league outing on Friday, April 25. The Raiders come into the outing with a record of 8-4. South Range won 13-2 in their recent non-league outing against Princeton (Princeton, WV)
