Montini Catholic Broncos (Lombard, IL) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL), 24-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Montini Catholic improves its record to 13-8 on the year. The Broncos host Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL) to play the Mighty Macs in a GCAC- Red game on Tuesday, April 29. The Mighty Macs enter the game with a record of 6-8.

The Green Wave now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Timothy Christian for a Chicagoland Christian game on Monday, April 28. St. Edward will play a Trojans squad coming off a 14-2 league win over Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 7-2.
