The Owatonna Huskies triumphed over the host Winona Winhawks softball squad by a count of 6-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Huskies meet the Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) in a Big 9 challenge, on Monday, April 28. Owatonna will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Andover (Andover, MN).

The Winhawks (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Byron (Byron, MN). The Bears enter the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Byron edged Pine Island (Pine Island, MN), 11-0, in a league challenge.
