In Friday's non-league game, the host Leavenworth PIONEERS baseball team scored a close 9-2 win over the Olathe North Eagles.
The PIONEERS (11-5) will now prepare for their game against De Soto (De Soto, KS). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 11-4 record. In their last game, De Soto nudged Hays (Hays, KS), 14-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Eagles play the Olathe South Falcons (Olathe, KS) in a Sunflower game, on Tuesday, April 28. Olathe North will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Falcons go into the game with a 13-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Bishop Carroll (Wichita, KS).
