The Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) baseball got by the visiting Reed Raiders (Sparks, NV), 3-2 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Miners now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yuba City for a challenge on Monday, April 27. Nevada Union will clash with a Honkers team coming off a 9-9 league Placer (Auburn, CA). The Honkers record now stands at 10-9.
With the defeat, Reed drops to 10-17 on the year. The Raiders host Spanish Springs (Sparks, NV) to clash with the Cougars in a challenge on Saturday, April 25. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 15-9.
