New York High School Softball - Shaker bested by Columbia

April 24, 2026: Latham, NY 12110

The Columbia Blue Devils triumphed over the host Shaker Bison softball squad by a count of 11-0 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils play the Ballston Spa Scotties (Ballston Spa, NY) in a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge, on Wednesday, April 29. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Scotties enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 11-10 league win over Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY).

The Bison (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Frontier (Hamburg, NY). The Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Frontier overcame Lancaster (Lancaster, NY), 4-3, in a league challenge.
