Durand Bulldogs (Durand, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Alden-Hebron Green Giants (Hebron, IL), 16-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host Pearl City for a Northwest Upstate Illini - North challenge on Wednesday, April 27. Durand will face a Wolves squad coming off a 15-3 league win over Pecatonica (Pecatonica, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 14-5.

With the loss, Alden-Hebron falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Green giants host South Beloit (South Beloit, IL) to face the Sobos in a Northeastern Athletic Conference challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Sobos enter the challenge with a record of 4-6.
