Spanish Fork Dons (Spanish Fork, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bear River Bears (Garland, UT), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Dons now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they host Provo for a 5A Region 9 challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Spanish Fork will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 27-0 league loss to Springville (Springville, UT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-8.

With the loss, Bear River falls to 15-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Logan (Logan, UT) to battle the Grizzlies in a 4A Region 11 challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 3-10. Logan lost 21-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Ogden (Ogden, UT)
