East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 17-3 record. They take the field next when they host Washington for a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, April 26. East Peoria will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-8 league win over Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Galesburg falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Silver streaks travel to Quincy (Quincy, IL) to face the Blue Devils in a Western Big 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 3-13. Quincy lost 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Quincy Notre Dame (Quincy, IL)
