The Eastland Cougars softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Warren/Stockton Warhawks to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Eastland improves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Cougars host Forreston (Forreston, IL) to clash with the Cardinals in a NUIC South game on Tuesday, April 26. The Cardinals come into the game with a record of 10-1. Forreston won 6-3 in their recent non-league game against Orangeville (Orangeville, IL)

In their next game, the Warhawks clash with the East Dubuque Warriors (East Dubuque, IL) in a NUIC West game, on Tuesday, April 26. Warren/Stockton will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 6-1 record after their 8-3 league win over River Ridge/Scales Mound (Hanover, IL).
