Marsing Huskies (Marsing, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wilder Wildcats (Wilder, ID), 20-19 in a non-league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they host Melba for a 2A Western Idaho challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Marsing will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 18-8 non-league win over Nyssa (Nyssa, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Wilder falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Idaho City (Idaho City, ID) to battle the Wildcats in a challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-7. Idaho City lost 21-1 in their recent league challenge against Glenns Ferry (Glenns Ferry, ID)
