Connecticut High School Softball - Oxford gets by Naugatuck

The Oxford Wolverines got by the visiting Naugatuck Greyhounds softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Wolverines (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Seymour was edged by Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT), 12-0, in a non-league battle.

The Greyhounds now sport a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ansonia for a Naugatuck Valley - Brass battle on Wednesday, April 27. Naugatuck will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Torrington (Torrington, CT). The Chargers record now stands at 3-7.
