Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Litchfield for a South Central challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Staunton will face a Purple Panthers squad coming off a 18-3 non-league loss to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Purple Panthers record now stands at 1-12.

With the loss, North Mac falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Panthers host Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL) to face the Trojans in a Sangamo challenge on Tuesday, April 26. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. Maroa-Forsyth lost 14-8 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL)
