Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) and the host North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (Little River, SC), witnessed St. James's softball squad tip North Myrtle Beach by a count of 4-2.
The Sharks now sport a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Socastee for a AAAAA Region 6 match on Wednesday, April 27. St. James will face a Braves squad coming off a 17-16 league win over Sumter (Sumter, SC). The Braves record now stands at 3-16.
With the loss, North Myrtle Beach moves to 13-10 on the season. The Chiefs host Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach, SC) to face the Seahawks in a AAAA Region 6 match on Thursday, April 28. The Seahawks go into the match with a record of 0-12.
