Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host San Dieguito Academy Mustangs (Encinitas, CA), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Nighthawks now own a 16-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rancho Buena Vista for a challenge on Thursday, April 27. Del Norte will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA). The Longhorns record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, San Dieguito Academy falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Ramona (Ramona, CA) to face the Bulldogs in a challenge on Monday, May 1. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-9. Ramona lost 10-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Oceanside (Oceanside, CA)
