The Eureka Hornets crushed the visiting LeRoy Panthers baseball team by a count of 7-1 in Thursday's league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 27. Eureka will face a Maroons team coming off a 9-6 league loss to Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 15-7.
Next, the Panthers face the Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) in a Heart of Illinois bout, on Monday, April 29. LeRoy will attempt to move on its 8-12 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 7-9 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL).
