In Thursday's league test, the host Vernon Hills Cougars lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-4 victory over the Highland Park Giants.

The Cougars now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Evanston for a Central Suburban test on Tuesday, April 30. Vernon Hills will face a Wildkits squad coming off a 18-6 league win over Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Wildkits record now stands at 6-2.

In their next game, the Giants face the Whitney Young Dolphins (Chicago, IL) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 29. Highland Park will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record. The Dolphins come into the test with a 2-5 record after their 11-3 league loss to Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL).
