The Bishop McGuinness Villains soccer team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Cornerstone Charter Cardinals to 1 in the Villains league victory on Thursday.

Next, the Villains face the Carver Yellowjackets (Winston-Salem, NC) in a Northwest Piedmont 1A contest, on Tuesday, April 30. Bishop McGuinness will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the contest with a 3-8 record after their 9-0 league loss to Leadership Academy (Kernersville, NC).

The Cardinals now have a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to River Mill for a non-league contest on Friday, April 26. Cornerstone Charter will face a Jaguars team coming off a 3-2 league win over Clover Garden School (Burlington, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 7-6.
