In Thursday's league contest, the Penn Kingsmen (Mishawaka, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN), by a margin of 12-0.
With the triumph, Penn moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Kingsmen travel to Lake Central (St. John, IN) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 4. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 12-2.
In their next game, the Cougars play the Valparaiso Vikings (Valparaiso, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 26. New Prairie will attempt to move on its 6-6 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 12-11 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, IN).
