Kennedy Crusaders (Chicago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Goode STEM Academy Knights (Chicago, IL), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Simeon for a Chicago Public Blue Central challenge on Saturday, April 27. Kennedy will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 16-0 league win over Perspectives Leadership/IIT/Joslin/Tech (Chicago, IL). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Goode STEM Academy falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Clemente (Chicago, IL) to face the Wildcats in a Chicago Public White Central challenge on Monday, April 29. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Clemente lost 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Juarez (Chicago, IL)
