Mumford Mustangs (Mumford, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 19-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bremond for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Mumford will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Harper (Harper, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 19-6.

With the loss, Grapeland falls to 7-18 on the campaign.
