Saranac Redhawks (Saranac, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Perry Ramblers (Perry, MI), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Redhawks now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ionia for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. Saranac will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 11-6 non-league win over Hastings (Hastings, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Perry falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Ramblers host Dansville (Dansville, MI) to battle the Aggies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Aggies enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Dansville won 15-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Morrice (Morrice, MI)
