The Pine Lake Prep Pride softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting West Cabarrus Wolverines to 1 in the Pride non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Pine Lake Prep moves its record to 11-7 on the year. The Pride travel to Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC) to clash with the Raptors in a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A game on Wednesday, May 1. The Raptors come into the game with a record of 10-5. Mountain Island Charter won 11-0 in their recent league game against Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC)

In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC) in a Greater Metro 4A game, on Friday, April 26. West Cabarrus will attempt to move on its 0-15 season record. The Ragin' Bulls come into the game with a 16-5 record after their 3-2 non-league win over South Rowan (China Grove, NC).
