The West Springfield Terriers baseball team scored 20 runs and held the host Holyoke Purple Knights to 5 in the Terriers non-league win on Friday.

The Terriers now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Longmeadow for a Valley test on Saturday, April 26. West Springfield will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Taconic (Pittsfield, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Holyoke drops to 2-8 on the year. The Purple knights travel to Westfield (Westfield, MA) to clash with the Bombers in a non-league test on Monday, April 28. The Bombers go into the test with a record of 7-3. Westfield lost 9-1 in their recent league test against Longmeadow (Longmeadow, MA)
