Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Philipsburg-Osceola edges Juniata Valley

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA) and the host Juniata Valley Hornets (Alexandria, PA), witnessed Philipsburg-Osceola's baseball team knock off Juniata Valley by a count of 4-2.

The Mountaineers now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bellefonte for a Laurel Highlands East challenge on Monday, April 28. Philipsburg-Osceola will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over State College (State College, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 7-6.

With the defeat, Juniata Valley drops to 5-4 on the year. The Hornets travel to Moshannon Valley (Houtzdale, PA) to clash with the Black Knights/Damsels in a Inter-County - North challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Black Knights/Damsels go into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Moshannon Valley lost 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Curwensville (Curwensville, PA)
