The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) and the visiting Westview Wildcats (Portland, OR), saw South Salem's baseball team knock off Westview by a count of 11-2.

The Saxons now own a 16-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Glencoe for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 29. South Salem will clash with a Crimson Tide team coming off a 13-0 league loss to Newberg (Newberg, OR). The Crimson Tide record now stands at 7-9.

With the defeat, Westview drops to 6-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Jesuit (Portland, OR) to clash with the Crusaders in a 6A Metro challenge on Tuesday, April 29. The Crusaders go into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Jesuit won 12-5 in their recent league challenge against Sunset (Portland, OR)
