The New Kent Trojans soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Gloucester Dukes to 1 in the Trojans non-league victory on Friday.

The Trojans now hold a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Grafton for a Bay Rivers bout on Tuesday, April 29. New Kent will play a Clippers squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Clippers record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Gloucester moves to 5-4 on the year. The Dukes travel to West Point (West Point, VA) to play the Pointers in a non-league bout on Monday, April 28. The Pointers go into the bout with a record of 5-1. West Point won 8-0 in their recent league bout against Mathews (Mathews, VA)
