The Weatherford Eagles held off the visiting Newcastle Racers soccer team by a tally of 4-3 in Friday's league game.
Next, the Eagles clash with the Blanchard Lions (Blanchard, OK) in a 4A District 2 game, on Monday, April 28. Weatherford will attempt to advance on its 14-1 season record.
The Racers (10-3) will now prepare for their game against Elk City (Elk City, OK). The Elks come into the 4A District 2 game with a 1-6 record. In their last game, Elk City was nipped by Weatherford (Weatherford, OK), 1-0, in a league game.
