The Amherst Central Tigers baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Nichols Vikings to 2 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.
The Tigers now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Starpoint for a non-league test on Monday, April 28. Amherst Central will play a Spartans team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Nichols drops to 2-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to St. Francis (Hamburg, NY) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league test on Monday, April 28. The Red Raiders go into the test with a record of 1-0.
