The Fairmont Firebirds (Kettering, OH) lacrosse nudged the visiting Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH), 6-5 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Firebirds now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beavercreek for a Region 3 outing on Wednesday, April 30. Fairmont will face a Beavers squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to St. Charles (Columbus, OH). The Beavers record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Waynesville falls to 2-6 on the year. The Spartans host Little Miami (Morrow, OH) to face the Panthers in a non-league outing on Monday, April 28. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 4-8. Little Miami won 8-7 in their recent non-league outing against Clinton-Massie (Clarksville, OH)
