The Des Moines East Scarlets smashed the host St. Edmond Gaels soccer team by a tally of 7-0 in Friday's non-league game.
Next, the Scarlets face the Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 6. Des Moines East will attempt to advance on its 13-0 season record.
The Gaels (2-6) will now prepare for their game against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats come into the non-league game with a 7-2 record. In their last game, Humboldt edged Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA), 4-0, in a league game.
