The Northfield Norsemen triumphed over the host Caston Comets softball squad by a count of 13-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Norsemen meet the Rochester Zebras (Rochester, IN) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Monday, April 28. Northfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Zebras enter the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Bremen (Bremen, IN).

The Comets (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against West Central (Francesville, IN). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, West Central edged Lafayette Jefferson (Lafayette, IN), 12-2, in a non-league challenge.
