The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Cumberland Valley Eagles (Mechanicsburg, PA) and the host Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA), observed Cumberland Valley's softball team notch a victory over Hazleton Area by a final score of 10-2.

The Eagles (11-2) will now prepare for their bout against Altoona (Altoona, PA). The Mountain Lions go into the Mid-Penn - Commonwealth bout with a 1-9 record.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Palisades Pirates (Kintnersville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 26. Hazleton Area will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 20-0 non-league win over Catasauqua (Catasauqua, PA).
