The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Hopkins Hilltoppers (New Haven, CT) and the visiting Taft School Big Red (Watertown, CT), observed Hopkins's softball team get by Taft School by a tally of 9-2.

The Hilltoppers (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Canterbury School (New Milford, CT). The Saints go into the non-league bout with a 2-2 record.

In their next game, the Big Red clash with the Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans (Windsor, CT) in a Founders bout, on Wednesday, April 30. Taft School will attempt to advance on its 0-6 season record. The Pelicans go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 5-2 league win over Miss Porter's (Farmington, CT).
