Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host South Range Raiders (Canfield, OH), 3-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Independence improves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to New London (New London, OH) to play the Wildcats in a non-league game on Monday, April 28. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 10-4.

The Raiders now hold a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Poland Seminary for a Northeast Eight Athletic game on Monday, April 28. South Range will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Crestview (Columbiana, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-6.
