Illinois High School Softball - Normal University gets by Lexington

The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL), observed Normal University's softball team get by Lexington by a tally of 8-7.
The Pioneers (9-10) will now prepare for their bout against East Peoria (East Peoria, IL). The Raiders go into the non-league bout with a 10-9 record. In their last bout, East Peoria was nipped by Metamora (Metamora, IL), 8-2, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Minutemen clash with the Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL) in a Heart of Illinois bout, on Monday, April 28. Lexington will attempt to advance on its 10-9 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 6-5 league win over Tremont (Tremont, IL).
