In Friday's non-league test, the McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Logan Longhorns (Logan, NM), by a count of 16-1.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 28. McCurdy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Bears go into the test with a 9-3 record after their 22-12 league win over Newcomb (Newcomb, NM).

The Longhorns (0-11) will now prepare for their test against Raton (Raton, NM). The Tigers go into the A/2A District 6 test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Raton toppled Clayton (Clayton, NM), 19-0, in a league test.
