The Waterford Lancers triumphed over the visiting St. Bernard Saints softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Lancers meet the Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Waterford will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 6-4 league loss to Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT).
The Saints (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wheeler (North Stonington, CT). The Lions enter the Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Wheeler was routed by Griswold (Griswold, CT), 19-5, in a league challenge.
