Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Brickies now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kankakee Valley for a Northwest Crossroads challenge on Wednesday, April 28. Hobart will face a Kougars squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Lowell (Lowell, IN). The Kougars record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Merrillville falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Pirates host Crown Point (Crown Point, IN) to face the Bulldogs in a Duneland challenge on Tuesday, April 27. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 11-1. Crown Point won 15-1 in their recent league challenge against Michigan City (Michigan City, IN)
