The Winnfield Tigers baseball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Independence Tigers to 1 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers (13-9) will now prepare for their match against Avoyelles Charter (Mansura, LA). The go into the non-league match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Avoyelles Charter gained a win over Port Allen (Port Allen, LA), 8-5, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (18-5) will now prepare for their match against Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired (Baton Rouge, LA). The Trojans go into the C District 7 match with a 11-0 record. In their last match, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired gained a win over Alabama Christian Academy (Montgomery, AL), 5-0, in a non-league match.
