McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) followers went home happy Tuesday as they saw their soccer squad beat the host Heritage Mountaineers (Maryville, TN), 4-0 in a non-league test.

The Cherokees now sport a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chattanooga Christian for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 27. McMinn County will encounter a Chargers squad coming off a 2-2 league Knoxville Catholic (Knoxville, TN). The Chargers record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Heritage drops to 5-6 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN) to encounter the Panthers in a 3A District 4 test on Thursday, April 28. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 5-6. Lenoir City won 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Anderson County (Clinton, TN)
