Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bath County Wildcats (Owingsville, KY), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 19-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Russell for a District 63 challenge on Thursday, April 28. Lewis County will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Portsmouth, OH). The Red Devils record now stands at 5-17.

With the loss, Bath County falls to 16-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to face the Vikings in a District 61 challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 10-8.
