The Iola Mustangs softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Parsons Vikings to 1 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Iola moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Wellsville (Wellsville, KS) to clash with the Eagles in a Pioneer game on Tuesday, May 3. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 7-6.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Pittsburg Dragons (Pittsburg, KS) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 28. Parsons will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Dragons come into the game with a 6-4 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Chanute (Chanute, KS).
