Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the McPherson Bullpups (McPherson, KS) and the host South Cougars (Salina, KS), witnessed McPherson's softball squad tip South by a count of 5-2.

The Bullpups now sport a 9-3 record. They play next when they travel to Circle for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III match on Thursday, April 28. McPherson will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 11-1 league win over El Dorado (El Dorado, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, South moves to 5-4 on the season. The Cougars host Valley Center (Valley Center, KS) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Friday, April 29. The Hornets go into the match with a record of 7-2. Valley Center won 5-0 in their recent non-league match against Andover Central (Andover, KS)
